They are five rag-tag men who've been meeting together weekly for over 4 years; a
greenhouse supervisor, a missionary in Philadelphia, a plumber, a businessman, and an
itinerant adventurer.
Together they pursue a redemptive community and offer the healing and hope they have
experienced through the Wild at Heart message to others.

Mark is a 50 year old entrepreneur born in Philadelphia and raised in the suburbs of
Lansdale. He graduated in 1977 and then opened a bakery business and his food interests
were further developed as he was the head chef in several restaurants. The then became
owner of the 50 year family butcher business and transitioned it into an off-premise
catering business. This was developed and expanded over 20 years until selling it in
2002. His interests turned to real estate investing where acquiring and managing
properties now takes up most of his time. He is married to Kathy, his beautiful partner
in life for the last 19 years. They have two captivating daughters, Shelby 31, and
Stacey 28. His interests include rock climbing, reading, cooking, guitar and martial
arts. Mark has a sincere passion to share his masculine journey and to help mentor
others.

I was born Quito, Ecuador as a third generation missionary kid. I also served in Ecuador
and Colombia as a sort term missionary. Although living in the Amazon jungle and climbing
some of the Andes highest mountain were some awesome experiences, I have learned that
loving and serving God is the biggest adventure of all. Now my main passions in life are
getting men fired up for God, raising my two sons with my beautiful wife, and climbing
anything.

Mark Mumbauer lives in North Philadelphia where he enjoys loving people, fostering community
and deepening relationships. Fixing computers helps pay the bills (see www.altartech.com),
which frees him to minster to and be ministered by kids and adults in the neighborhood. He
loves weightlifting, power stunt kites, model rockets and riding anything with two wheels.
He's been married for four years to his wife Christine who is a Family Therapist, beauty
pageant winner and body-building champion. Mark's favorite cartoon character is mighty
mouse and his name means "mighty warrior".

My name is Tom Gardner. I was born in NY City and spent my boyhood living in Rockaway Beach
Long Island, exploring the docks and marshes on the bay and testing my courage against the
Atlantic Ocean. I learned to fish, and swim like one, on this narrow peninsula. I have seen
the beauty of this place, from hot sandy beaches and breath taking sunsets, to the diverse
wildlife, all of which I fell in love with. I carried that love of nature with me when I
moved to Perkasie, PA and explored the deciduous forests in the Nockamixon and Peace Valley
Parks. A graduate of Pennridge and Upper Bucks Vo-Tech, I went on to become a journeyman
plumber. I filled my free time through these years with skateboarding, skiing, snowboarding,
mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and sport bike riding and racing. I even learned skydiving.
I have recently found wakeboarding and kiteboarding. I have ambitions to build a car for the
racetrack. I now live in Telford and on a deeper level I have been happily married for five
years to a stunningly beautiful woman. I am father to a two year old boy and the other is
due late March. We go to Grace Bible Church of Souderton. My core passions are my faith in
God and my wife and children. Through the years my walk with Christ has grown closer and has
significantly become stronger and more intimate from being a part of a group of brothers in
Christ. We call ourselves a band of brothers. We are militia men.

I am a 26 year old kid! On a constant search for another adventure! I have been blessed to
have had the opportunities to climb, snowboard, and scuba dive all over the world. I also have
an amazing steady girl friend, and boy is she something to look at, not to mention climb with!
Lately I have been focusing my efforts on building a little t-shirt company designed to help
radical Christian high schoolers engage the culture of death. Please check it out:

More than anything I want the most central part of my life to be my relationship with Christ.
We have an ever constant romance. There is mystery and adventure written in the love story of
God and I. It's a story that has its share of glory but to be honest it is normally a painful
journey filled with longing and desire along with brokenness and heartache. My heart grows weary
when I have gone long without fellowship with Jesus, in fact I feel it this evening and I think
I just might go jogging later tonight in hopes of finding him in the night. When it's all said
and done I hope that I am remembered as a man who stood for what was right, as a man who fought
with courage and honor and did not lower his standard when he was faced with Danger.
